Maximize the number of requests you can get!

Updated: Jul 14, 2020

Are you not getting as many requests as you hoped for? Do you just want more jobs to do? Make sure you are getting all the opportunities you can by following these tips.

First, make sure your parent's app is updated. There are a few new features added to the gigster’s profile that will help you get more gigs and get paid faster.

The first is the option to add a link to your payment profile (e.g. Venmo, Paypal) on your Kumbaya profile page. This makes the payment process faster so you can get paid sooner!

We now have a place to add a video link as well in your profile. Film a short video of yourself explaining who you are, what you're offering, what experience you have, and why you should be hired. The video is meant to make prospective parents of kids want to choose you because they have a better sense of who you are. By uploading a link to that video in your profile, you will see more requests come in for them to get hired.

In the introduction field, add relevant experience and be specific.

For example, if you are offering to babysit, instead of writing “I’ve worked with children,” add more detail: “I worked at a day camp with kids from kindergarten to fourth grade last summer.”

If you are offering math tutoring, for example, mentioning specific math courses you’ve taken is a great way for parents to know what knowledge you have that can be taught to their kid.

Also make sure to give some information about availability in the introduction - where you live, where you’re willing to go, if you can work with a kid in-person, etc. The more information, the better!

Follow these tips and more @kumbayateens on instargram and the the gigs coming!

Good luck.
